🗯 The problem: The government has a unique vantage point to identify problem statements faced by enterprises, government agencies and even entire sectors. Startups may have the solution to these very problems but lack access to tackle them.

💡 The Solution: The Open Innovation Platform is an avenue to matchmake complex problems with innovative solutions. Startups with relevant solutions may apply to take on a challenge statement. If selected, startups receive up to $300,000 to test, pilot and implement their solutions with the problem statement owner.

🛠 How it’s done: OIP releases series of calls with challenge statements. The latest set of challenges are co-organised by Smart Nation and Digital Government Office and Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore (URA), inviting startups to craft effective solutions that can reduce carbon emissions, energy usage, waste and resources, and achieve a car-lite environment — and win prize monies while at it! 🌳
